Pug is available to perform pre sale survey and repository xrays and endoscopic exams which play a major role in what your horse will bring at a sale. Interpretation reports of xrays prior to a sale gives the owner critical information regarding market implications.

The current uncertainty of the global economic environment could actually benefit savvy horsemen. There was great value at the breeding stock sales last year and this November should also be a buyer’s market. With years of experience in the Thoroughbred breeding industry, we can assist you with mating decisions. We think matings are the most successful when both genotype and phenotype are considered and we recommend that our clients allow us to evaluate their mares before we make suggestions.

Each year we spend time in Ky inspecting the new stallions. We work closely with the major farms in Ky and can often get you a better price on a stud fee.

Years ago one of our favorite clients asked “is there such a stallion as Wavering Monarch?” when we recommended the horse for his mare. We felt very strongly about this mating as much on phenotype as genotype and the resulting foal was none other than Eclipse Champion Maria’s Mon who we raised, broke and Pug managed his racing career. We brokered the sale of Maria’s Mon to Josephine Abercrombie and Pug continued to manage the horse until he retired.
